Deep Psychotherapy

Why Seek Deep Therapies

You might recognize that your goals, issues and concerns likely need more than counseling techniques, advice or coaching tips.

Perhaps, your goals and issues have been around a very long time. Possibly, complications are planted deeply into your history or your perspectives in life. If the traumas , for examples, were during your childhood and seem to have manifested themselves later in your life, chances are you have deeper concerns because they have been woven into your conscious or unconscious ways of looking at life and ways of responding to people and circumstances.

Perhaps you struggle with patterns or habits that seem to be related to deep feelings or complications that you typically avoid. Now you are ready to deal with those feelings and complications in ways that will free you from your struggling patterns and habits.

You also may recognize that your personality style and outlook on life is causing extremely sad or frustrating complications with your relationships, career, self-esteem, thoughts and emotions. In these cases, Deep Psychotherapies are likely to be more helpful than surface counseling sessions, life coaching or wise advice.

What Type of Deep Therapies You Might Consider

Here is a list of Therapeutic approaches or Psychotherapies that you might consider. Each have different approaches, different perspectives, and different tools. Each match different needs and different styles. Feel free to call me and ask about the different approaches and explore what might fit your goals and concerns well.

  1. Jungian Psychotherapy is associated to dreamwork, spiritually based life quest concerns, finding or redefining purpose and meaning in life, and renewing deeper soulful connections.
  2. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapies refers to a lengthy list of psychotherapies that help change deeply rooted personality glitches. They also address issues that began in childhood that might be related to feeling detached or loved, feeling empty or lost, feeling unlovable, feelings of shame and embarassment that compromise your relationships and career and self-esteem. These approaches are helpful with depression and anxiety that seem to be related to a history of trauma, abuse, childhood experiences of inadequate or awful parenting, and identity concerns. All Deep Therapies actually help with these issues as well, but the Psychoanalytic research and treatments are specifically geared to help you with these concerns.
  3. Hypnotherapies can also be used as a Deep Therapy approach when the hypnosis is about exploration, discovery, reconfiguration, healing or repair work.
  4. Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Existential Psychotherapy, Humanistic Psychotherapy. These Deep Psychotherapies address relationship concerns and self-development concerns as well. They emphasize relationship work, relationship with others and yourself, more than psychoanalytic tools. They also focus on feelings and attitudes that cause complications.

How Do Deep Therapies Combine with Other Therapies or Counseling Tools

After many years mastering many types of therapies, I actually find that combining many tools, techniques and approaches allow me, as a Psychotherapist, Counselor and Life Coach, to flexibly approach people's needs, goals and complications. As a consequence, at times I approach our work together using Deep Psychotherapies and at other times use other approaches. Feel the freedom to call and ask more questions about this information.
